Description: The crew will fly from McCall to Lower Loon Creek via Sawtooth Flying Service on Monday, July 5The trip will be based out of Middle Fork Outfitters, Lower Loon Creek Ranch. The crew will camp at the ranch, do day trips, and return each night. There may be an overnight on the mountain, pack support will be provided by Middle Fork Outfitters but pack animals may be limited. Meals will be prepared by Judy Hull at the lodge and everyone will be expected to help clean and prepare meals. The work entails logging out the Cache Creek trail to Woodtick Summit; the first several miles are reported to be heavy with blowdown, so we will have three adults on the trip and six youth for safety reasons. Crosscut saws will be the main tool, with loppers and Silky saws to help brush and clear the trail. The days will include a lot of hiking and saw use; the volunteers will carry their own lunches, extra clothes, and tools for the day. The crew will fly back to McCall on Sunday, July 11.
